designing

Had to design a character for an in-class challenge. I decided to create a character following the semester's theme; ancient Egypt, because I think Egypt's pretty cool. To make it into a challenge, I've decided to make an anthro character, something that I don't have much experience with. Right now I only have a rough version of the model sheet, but it's going to be cleaned up sometimes this week or next week. And while I'm at it, have some concept work too.

it's aliiiive!

So I finally decided to upload more than still lives and studies and such to this blog because I realized that I'm not going to do much of those things ever again. :/

So here's a flood of all the art that did this summer that I think is okay.

drawings are in no particular order

more stuff

nothing much, just a few still life drawings and hand tonal studies. I never really got the time to work on anything bigger this summer, how sad.

A few still-lives

Here are a few studies I did this week.  Of everything there is to miss about college I have to miss what I hated doing most.  I guess that I apreciate drawing from live more now that I'm not forced to do it. They're not wonderful but I still enjoyed drawing them. all of them took around an hour or two to complete. The spool is my first digital painting.

Something more formal

Since I don't have a big scanner, I decided to take pictures of my bigger school-pieces to put them up here. Some of them are fuzzy, I know. But sadly that's the best that my poor cheap little camera would do. I'll update them as soon that I regain access to the big scanner at school.

Let it begin

Alright, so let's get this artwork dump started! I have my artwork separated by subject in my folders and I'm going through my folders one at a time. So this post's theme is going to be World of Warcraft, one of my biggest addictions.

first off a set of playing cards I did for my illustrator class this year.

Then a wordless comic I did for my color theory class.
